The Reckless Love of God: Experiencing the Personal, Passionate Heart of the Gospel
WHY I LIKE IT
You and I don't really believe that God loves us. At least not all the time.
This book, written by a good friend of mine, is one of those reads that stretches your mind and expands your heart.
Please read this! It will be like putting on a pair of prescription glasses and discovering that you've practically been blind your whole life.
Seeking God's Face: Praying with the Bible through the Year
WHY I LIKE IT
I'm not very good at prayer. Not sure what 'being good at prayer' looks like, but whatever it is, I don't pray well.
We can talk about why that's true some other time. But for now, I want to tell you about a resource that's helping me grow in prayer.
Seeking God's Face is a resource that provides daily readings from the Scriptures and a pattern of prayer. Utilizing resources like the liturgical church calendar and historic creeds and catechisms, the content of Seeking God's Face is both rich and timely.
I spend around 15-20 minutes a day, and during a season where fear and anxiety have weighed heavy on my soul, Seeking God's Face has been a godsend.
And, it has been written to be used all the way through 2026.
Please buy a copy of this and wear it out...
